Our services

Regulatory, policy, and advisory services grounded in Anishinaabe law

Nibwaakaa Consulting provides regulatory, policy, and advisory services grounded in Anishinaabe law, governance, and responsibilities to all our relations. We support Nations in advancing their own laws, governance, and regulatory processes — and we support governments, proponents, and organizations seeking to understand and harmonize with Indigenous-led systems with integrity.

How we work

A practice shaped by responsibility, rigour, and relationship

Grounded. Nibwaakaa is rooted in Anishinaabe law, responsibilities, and ways of knowing. In our work with Nations, the laws, governance, values, and worldviews of each Nation shape the direction and approach.

Rigorous. We bring the technical depth required to navigate environmental, regulatory, and policy systems with credibility.

Carried forward. We design frameworks, tools, and materials that strengthen internal capacity and support long-term implementation.

Relational. We work in long-term relationship, with care for responsibilities that extend well beyond any single project.
